minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day

It had been 16,320 minute, 272 hour, or 11 and a half day since my daughter accident, still, she is in coma. She is showing sign of reflect action; moving her arms and legs when gets pinch, open her eyes half way, twisting her body. She's still unconscious, but hopefully the doctor can wean out the drugs and she can regain consciousness by her own, we hope. No promising what so ever.
I stopped crying after 7 days, no more tear to cry. Fighting my way into the crowded visitor room, gather some couch, chairs and table. I sleep there during the night so I can catch the doctor in the morning then go home. I can see her anytime I want. Many of her friends and my friends had stopped by all day. Many had dropped off dinner. I had my moment but the anger had subsided but the fear of the unknown had set in. What if, what if, what if.
Let's pause our lives for a minute, give your love one a hug, tell them you love them, because you will not know what will happen in the next minute. next hour, or next day. Group hug everyone.
Thanks for all the kind words, pray and encouragement.
Ponsawan

Dearest Pornsawan,
I, my family and all our CU friends have been on this journey with you, and I send prayers to Ada and you everyday.
Miracles do happen. A friend of mine had severe nerve damage and is now going to his full time job providing for his children. My own sister had a stroke when her first baby was born and she is now enjoying her family of two children and working again. Both cases took years to recover, and along their journey, both had the power of love and prayers from their wonderful parents, family and friends.
Ada will be well soon.

I have been thinking of you two everyday. Happy to have good news. Be strong for her Ponsawan and don't forget to speak to her, she will hear you, even if she doesn't understand, Ada will hear the song of her mother's voice. With love from France.

A recent medical research from Finland shows that classical music, or a patient's favorite piece of music that is soft and similar to classical music, helps patients to recover from brain injury. Previous studies have linked classical music to brain functions. I'm sure American medical professions are aware of this.
When you do need a break, Ada can listen to music.

Lord we pray for Ada. Guide the doctors as they make decisions concerning her care. Give her body miracle strength to deal with everything she is going through. Give her parents courage and strength as they support her through this ordeal. Give everyone concerned a sense of your presence and care.
We thank you that you are a loving and caring God. Your word tells us that you see every sparrow that falls, how much more you care for
Ada. Thank you.

Dearest Ponsawan,

When we talked the other week, you showed me your great strenght and determined courage. Here at Chapel Hill, NC, I mentioned our UNC Student Body President who was killed the day after Ada's accident. You said quitetly that at least you still have your baby girl with you.

Eve's father said, "The senseless murder of my sweet, sweet Eve is sadness defined, unfathomable and bottomless, but so appreciatively interrupted by each friend or family member who shares our grief."

Hundreds, maybe thousands of people share your anger, fear and tears. I have faith that you all will be alright. It might take a long while to heal but you are not on this path alone. Despite the physical distance, we are with you in spirit during this testing time.

Love,
Yui

Ponsawan,

Among our CU friends, I recieved dozens of emails going back and fort this week. Many friends are finding new ways to send you support. More TLC packages from Thailand should show up at your door step soon.

Kao inspired me to start the 999 good luck (origami - http://dev.origami.com/diagram.cfm ) cranes. They will fly north to see you; each one carries best wish and hope to Ada, you, Piak, Archy and Arthie.

If there is anything we can do for you, say it and it will be done.

We all love you very much.

My dear Ponsawan,
You and Ada have been the focus of our love, our thoughts and our prayers. There has never been a time when we unite this strongly, to support someone we love and care so much. Please know that we are with you, watch Ada with you, breath with you, all the time. Keep your strenght and your faith high.

Ponsawan, my family is still praying for your daughter. Please don't give up hope. My youngest brother, when he was 18, was critically injured in a car accident. He was in a coma for a month, in traction for 4 months, spent another 6 months in rehab. He then went back to college and got his degree. He's now 37.

My parents ask every day about your daughter - we're all praying :).

Dear All Ponsawan's Friends,

Please join us and mail Ponsawan your origami Crane(s). See http://dev.origami.com/diagram.cfm

999 is the lucky number for Thais because the pronunciation means moving forward; improvement and prosperity. Our goal is to deliver 999 cranes of hope before flowers bloom in Ponsawan's yard this April.

On each bird, please attach a small tag listing your first name, city, country, and your wish for Ada and the Silapiruti family. Mail yours (flat) to:

Ada Silapiruti
c/o Adult Critical Care
Methodist Hospital
1701 N Senate Blvd
Indianapolis , IN 46202
USA

Local newspaper in your language, unique or colorful paper of all sizes are at your finger tips. It took me only 3 minutes to do my first one.

Respectfully,
Yui CU#1835024, Raleigh, NC

Nearly every day I hear back from another person telling me they are praying for Ada. Most of them do not know her, but they believe strongly in the power of Prayer and Positive Thought. And some of them have told me that they are praying with us daily at 1am and 1pm. There is a LOT of Love being sent towards your daughter and your family. I pray that this Love can be of encouragement to you and to all others who love Ada deeply.

I just wanted to tell you not to lose hope. Several years ago, the same thing happened to my niece. We thought we were going to lose her. She remained in a coma for almost two months, but finally woke up. The rehabilitation was tough, but not only has she regained physical coordination, but also her mental capacity, so much so that she was able to graduate from high school and go on to college. The doctors called it a miracle. It was -- miracles do happen. I will be praying for all of you.
